These Terms of Hire set out the conditions under which artworks are leased from The Art Addition. By submitting an enquiry and proceeding with a hire, you agree to the following:

1. Hire Period

• Hire periods are agreed in writing before the artwork is delivered.

• Extensions may be possible by arrangement.

2. Fees & Payment

• Hire fees are quoted individually and must be paid in full prior to delivery unless otherwise agreed.

• Delivery and collection fees apply.

3. Delivery, Collection & Installation

• The Art Addition can deliver and collect artworks at the start and end of the hire period.

• Professional hanging/installation is the responsibility of the hirer.

• Artworks must be displayed in suitable conditions (indoors, away from direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures).

4. Condition Report

• A condition report will be completed and signed by both The Art Addition and the hirer at the time of delivery and again at collection.

• This report will confirm the state of the artwork and provide a record in case of any disputes.

5. Care of Artwork

• The hirer is responsible for the artwork during the hire period and must ensure it is properly cared for.

6. Damage, Loss, or Theft

• If an artwork is damaged, lost, or stolen during the hire period, the hirer is liable for repair or replacement costs up to the full value of the artwork (as determined by The Art Addition).

7. Insurance

• It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure the artwork is covered by appropriate insurance during the hire period.

8. Returns & Collection

• Artworks must be ready for collection at the end of the hire period and returned in the same condition as delivered.

9. Termination

• The Art Addition reserves the right to terminate the hire if the artwork is not being properly cared for or if these terms are breached.
